I feel privileged and delighted to work with each child individually, and as part of a community of readers and writers. While there are different ability levels and individualized lesson plans, the children are all motivated by the tools they are learning to confidently work through challenges.

I have the opportunity to meet each child's individual needs, and get to know them in a unique way, so that I can tailor my instruction to their learning style and developmental level. The children receive the opportunity for personalized private instruction, along with the objectivity that grows from considering multiple ideas and perspectives in collaboration with peers. 

I am inspired by the gift that each child brings with their individuality, their evolving perspective, and the unique way they each respond. Being able to create a lesson, and have that translate into a discussion on a multitude of topics, where the children teach and reach one another, and myself, gives me great hope for the future.
