Home School Day Program

The home school curriculum is a comprehensive reading/writing program with both group, and individualized instruction. Included are comprehension strategies and targeted phonics lessons. An integrated writing workshop provides the opportunity for students to write personal narratives and research topics chosen by the writer.

Are you concerned about your child's literacy progress? Does your child have an IEP?  Comprehensive assessment and specialized individual tutoring are available. 

The afternoon literacy program meets twice a week for all readers in grades K-12. For developing readers, the joy of reading comes from a perfect book match, combined with peers who offer inspiration from their own reading lives.  Individualized remediation is provided, using phonics and comprehension strategy instruction, guided by periodic assessments. The instructor provides strong support in choosing a Just-Right-Book, meaning the children will learn to choose books that are not too difficult, but not too easy, either; they're just right!
