About

     This environment is facilitated by Heidi Tessier who holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, two reading endorsements, Montessori certification, and was a classroom educator for over 20 years. Her Master's thesis was based on this program, which she developed and implemented in the classroom. 

     Heidi’s objective is to instill in her students a lifelong love of reading for pleasure. Reading for the sheer joy of it is the impetus for growth and achievement, academically, and in life. Heidi, herself, is an avid reader, modeling the ethics of personal responsibility, collaboration, and empathy, in creating a community of readers and writers. This environment fosters intrinsically motivated participants to believe in themselves, in their peers, and in their ability to achieve.
